Trilok Gurtu is an appreciated drummer, percussionist, tabla player and vocalist. Trilok was Born in India in Bombay. He comes from a musical family, so his musical education began in early childhood, under the watchful eye of his mother - Shobah Gurtu, a classic Indian singer and his grandfather who played sitar. Gurtu combines traditional percussion, traditional Indian music, jazz, diverse ethnic and fusion music. Trilok has worked with a number of prominent musicians, such as John McLaughlin, Joe Zawinul, Jan Garbarek, Don Cherry and Bill Evans. His musical output can be found on almost 40 albums with jazz, folk and ethnic music, as well as pop music albums. Trilok Gurtu is widely regarded as one of the most innovative contemporary musicians.The first performance of Krzysztof and Trilok took place in 2014, then, after 3 years in 2017, they recorded an extraordinary material which appeared later on CD. One can find there absolute classics such as "Impression e-minor", "Sagrada Famila" and "Pink Year" which belong to the Krzysztof's output.
